Dr. Blackmer is an excellent orthopedist. I am extremely happy that he was the Dr. that did my surgery.
My knee arthritis was so awful. I sought Dr Blackmer help after my former Dr failed to give me any relief. The last 3 months after my appt with Dr Blackmer have been just about perfect. he is making it possible for me to visit Yellowstone Natl Park and be able to walk. I will be forever grateful.
Another doctor referred me there to have my knee drained and he didn’t really even look at the knee. He just started saying well I’m not gonna drain it. I will give you a shot, but you really need to have knee surgery and he kept on about that, I kept saying I’m 80 years old. I am not having knee surgery and he kept telling me you have to have knee surgery. It was awful. He never stopped.
Very nice. Was very happy with the way he explained what was going on with my knees & my options. The only thing I wasn't happy with was the fact that my appointment was at 1030. I wasn't seen until 1115. Then I had to wait to get xrays done. I mentioned that my husband had an appointment in Bayminett at 100. I specifically made it for 1030. I got out of there at 1155. I think that they over book. I had this problem before when I saw Dr Glendzer. Only this time I wasn't on a tight schedule.
