I rarely leave reviews, but this experience warrants one. My mother and I had an extremely distressing encounter with Dr. Michael Hartmann in the emergency department. We came in because my mother was experiencing a hypertensive crisis—her blood pressure was 218 over a number she couldn’t remember, which was frightening and serious. Before Dr. Hartmann entered the room, her blood pressure had improved to 171/67, and she was beginning to stabilize. Very attentive, patient, and kind.
Dr. Hartman is an excellent ER Physician who gives you a complete understanding of what you're dealing with. Also he breaks issues down very clearly. One of the best!
My husband came into Edward-Elmhurst Emergency with shortness of breath. He was immediately taken to an examination room, by-passing the normal forms & registration. Dr. Hartmann ran tests & called the Midwest Cardiology doctors. The hospital and staff, including Dr. Hartmann are superior to any other medical team . My husband had a pulmonary embolism, also called a ‘widow-maker’. I am happy to say I am not a widow.
