Dr Cavanaugh is an old school doctor who gets to know you. I've had two knee surgeries from playing basketball and a hip surgery from a bicycle crash. Dr Cavanaugh did all three surgeries and they went well. He also helped me successfully manage a separated shoulder from playing softball and elbow bursitis. I highly recommend him. I drive 30 miles to see him specifically.
Dr. Cavanaugh is one of those rare doctors who really listens. I went to him about back pain and felt like he really listened to everything I said, without making me feel rushed. I felt comfortable asking questions and he talked about various options, and offered a series of progressive solutions. He also explained his reasoning for each recommended course of action.
I have been seeing Dr. Cavanaugh for a number of years. I am always able to get an appointment with him within a reasonable amount of time. The staff is very courteous and professional. I never feel rushed during the visit with Dr. Cavanaugh, he always explains things in detail and answers all my questions. I feel extremely confident in and comfortable with him. I would recommend him in a heartbeat!
went to Dr. Cavanaugh in the fall of 2021 because of a spontaneous knee effusion--tremendously swollen knee. He recognized it as an early symptom of Lyme Disease, and tested for that as well as other possibilities. The Lyme test came back positive so I took the prescribed antibiotics, and the swelling went down eventually (it takes a while!). I'm very grateful for his astute and quick diagnosis. He's a personable and caring doctor.
He was gentle,explained problem and my options. Highly recommend him and office staff is easy to relate to also.
