Disregard all bad reviews. If you want to get better, look no further. A surgeon is supposed to get you back 100% and you should not be looking for a “nice guy” when selecting your surgeon. I’m a fireman for FDNY. I snapped my Achilles and it had to be surgically reattached. Mike had me in and out of surgery in 1hr. Dr Elia has helped myself and my family immensely throughout the years. I greatly appreciate his conservative approach to medicine but if surgery is a must, I don’t want to be in anyone else’s hands unless directed to do so by him personally.

I've known Dr. Elia for years and I would not have had my knee arthroscopy surgery with anyone else. The surgery itself was less than an hour and I had no pain postoperatively. I didn't require pain medication after the surgery and was able to walk the same day. It's been over a week and still no pain. I should have done it sooner and would not trust my care to anyone else.

Dr. Elia performed surgical repair for my ruptured Achilles’ tendon. Prior to the surgery, he told me that I would be in a cast for eight weeks. My mistake was not getting a second opinion. This is a simple surgical procedure and a successful outcome is all dependent upon the post surgical protocol.
