He refused to repair a meniscus tear I had, now I found a different doctor and after 3 years from the date of injury, I have to have a knee replacement at 28 years old!
Dr. Van Anrooy has replaced both my shoulders and my right hip. He has been a compassionate and thorough surgeon. My left hip is due for replacement and he is the only one I would have perform my upcoming surgery. Since I am a retired Naval Officer and also 100% service connected disabled I had the option of having my operations at the Eugene Slocum Center or a different doctor in Roseburg, but Dr. Van Anrooy is the only one for me.....very helpful office staff. My highest recommendation!
Over the course of a few years, I was seen three or four times for both my knee and my shoulder and was never satisfied with the visits. There was always an extraordinarily long wait time after I arrived for my visit. In one case, it was an hour and a-half wait, with no apology from either Dr. Van Anrooy or his staff. He never took the time to fully explain what he should have, nor did he seem to take much of an interest in me as his patient. I would never recommend this physician.
