I was switched from my primary OB to Doctor Cardenas during an emergency due to availability. He was always very calm and reassuring and made sure to explain that some things might not be necessary that are not covered by insurance. He has always been responsive and good at setting a treatment plan.
I had an incredibly positive experience with Dr. Cardenas throughout my pregnancy and birth. From the very beginning, he was attentive, kind, and always took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns thoroughly. I ended up having a C-section due to my baby being breech, and I couldn’t have asked for a smoother experience. I found Dr. Cardenas and his nurse to be extraordinary. Compassionate. Took time to sit with me and care about my concerns. Knowledgeable and helpful explaining what to expect, what was needed next, and provided supportive hope. I think they are wonderful. I went to Dr. Cardenas seeking support for cervical dysplasia and HPV-related care, but left feeling dismissed, pressured, and deeply disrespected. I do not recommend going to this doctor. Luckily, I personally have not had an appointment with this facility. My friend shared a horror story, which was enough for me to cancel my appointment. Apparently, he’s very dismissive and the team lacks empathy when dealing with important health issues.
