I first met Dr. Avery when I was in the hospital after a stroke and rare disease diagnosis. He explained the disease very well and he seemed very knowledgeable and professional. I needed a specific type of surgery to treat my condition. However, after dealing with his nurse Kate, I was left with a bad taste in my mouth. She was very pushy and very rude and singularly the reason why I decided to cancel the surgery and go elsewhere. It was never about a lack of confidence in him. I had a recent 11 hour surgery at Banner Tucson. I can honestly say it’s Dr. Le and Dr. Michael Avery that saved my life with how stubborn and scared to death I was to go through with the surgery. I can honestly say my new life has so many more options without the uncontrollable pain and discomfort I had before they removed infectious disease from my sinus cavity and the subsequent intra-cranial surgery at the same time. I want these two doctors to get all of the notice they deserve. They both took the time to listen to ever... read more

I honestly don't know where to Start! Dr. Avery was Absolutely AMAZING and so was the Gentleman for my anesthesiology. Dr. Avery and I saw each other back in December and he Throughly, went through what would happen with my Brain Tumor. It was a 13hr long Procedure and he Calmed me down and made sure EVERTHING was going to be okay. There was also a Womderful nurse as Well Diane. She made the Entire Experience So much better. My nurses Piper and Adian were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Not every one would comb out your hair and braid i... read more
