Just had my first consult for an Achilles tear which has been pretty challenging. Dr. Botte was kind, humble, compassionate and spent the time to go through the imaging results with me. He spent the extra time to address my questions and concerns as well. Thank you!
He literally saved my legs from amputation. Today I can climb mountains instead of living life in a wheelchair. Dr Botte is an incredibly skilled surgeon and insightful physician.
Worst possible experience at Scripps. Waiting time was on average 3 hours (this was way before COVID) in the waiting area and then another hour after you've been called in. In the mean time residents or nurses will come in to check and explain that you are waiting because the Dr is roaming around the hallway somewhere. This seems to point at an incompetent system that doesn't hold Drs accountable for anything, and a big ego saying he'll do what he wants to do not what the patient needs.
