Dr. Abel is a very knowledgeable, caring physician. He is the first doctor I have ever seen who knew how to address (and even commit to a "diagnosis" of) my fibromyalgia. He sticks with you throughout coming up with a plan that works for your pain issues.
I have autoimmune disorders for 30 years that have started flaring. I needed a doctor to help me get through this. I went as a new patient. No labs were ordered. We visited for a while. I was encouraged to walk 15 minutes a day three times a week. And he would see me in 3 months. I have now found a Rheumatologist in SA.
20 mins for a new patient appt where he said “mhmm” a lot and gave me a diagnosis he had decided upon before entering the room. He didn’t ask what MY concerns were nor my expectations. Sometimes bad experiences can be sound teachers and this was definitely one.
