I've had a lot of surgeries, some botched and some just plain difficult, and in those cases the surgeons could care less once they've done the operation. Dr. Towbin is very different - he's a highly skilled surgeon (the best I've ever known) with an almost zero post-surgery infection rate. More important, he really cares about your recovery and is happy to meet with you later if you have any questions or concerns. He's a very nice guy with a very warm personality.
I've had more than 11 major surgeries over the years and Dr. Towbin is without doubt the greatest surgeon I've ever had. He performed a very complex operation others said would require weeks in hospital with lifelong consequences (to repair damage from 2 earlier surgeries) and did so with a single night's hospital say, no lasting downsides, etc. I trust him implicitly. He is warm, highly professional, and has the lowest infection rate of anyone I've heard of in this area. Highly recommended
Dr. Towbin has been my surgical doctor for many, many years. He was instrumental with my breast cancer care and followup. I would recommend him, his great surgical skills, along with a good sense of humor; he is very caring and I appreciate him.
I'm recovering well after an emergency surgery to solve a life-threatening problem that happened on Dec,2016. Dr. Towbin performed the surgery and told me everything that could happen in my case. I could not had landed in better hands.
Friendly staff. No problem getting appointment. Dr. Towbin is really personable and knows his stuff. Diagnosed problem quickly and sent me for an ultrasound right away. It was easy to get in for a follow up on the ultrasound. Although he is a surgeon, he wasn't eager to perform surgery on my leg. He ismthorough, knowledgeable, and has a gentle touch. My overall experience from 2 visits were wonderful. Lastly, he has a good sense ofor humor. I wished thar he could be my primary care doctor.
Dr. Towbin and his staff were great! Everyone in his office is very professional and friendly. I had a hernia operation...and am very happy. I highly recommend him.
