Being hospitalized is not supposed to be a positive experience. However, I can say my 4-day stay at Miami Valley South was indeed a positive experience. Positive enough that I almost want to say it was a pleasure to be there. I say this because of the extraordinary and excellent care I received from the staff in the emergency department and the fifth floor. I’m writing this review on behalf of my mother. She was admitted to the ER and had a 4 day stay. She asked the ER doctor if she could have some water. The doctor’s response: “I don’t do water, you ask the nurse.” I will be reporting this doctor once I find her name. Why would they give this doctor a medical license with such horrible bedside manner? On top of this, the nurses were non existent. This hospital used to be great, now it’s hit or miss.

Food was horrible! Had to ask several times to use the restroom before someone would come see me. Some of the nurses knew nothing. Kettering health is the way to go !
