As Chicago police detective, I was robbed, the valet stole my cologne as I have him on video doing it, yes video, I have a video system in my LandRover inside my light console, and seen who and how he did it, and funny thing is, I even have him a $10 tip for getting my truck quick, but as a good cop that I am, I let him go, I could of done a lot more to hi as in getting in real trouble , but for a $45 dollar bottle, it wasn't worth it, and one day this guy will get caught, at least now he knows that I know who did it, and wh... read more
Not So Great – The parking there and the Parking Assistant was Horrible! First, the parking spots were so tight, you could barely get out of your vehicle! I found a spot in the corner which gave me a bit of extra space to park my truck closer to the wall so that a car next to me wouldn't slam their door into mine. Great Food – The food at Mi Tierra is great... specially the Enchiladas de Camarones!!!! I have gone there a lot of times and I always get great service and good food. The bad thing is that they don't make the typical Mexican aguas de sabores, like orchata or Jamaica......they should start working on that. It gets kind of crowded in weekends but the wait isn't so bad...they try to accommodate you fast. The murals are beautiful and the mood is just right!!!! The service is fast and very kind.
All around great Mexican Restaurant !! – We go here a 3-4 times a year and have never been dissappointed. Great margaritas ! The food is above average, try the tableside grills, yummy. They don't make homemade tortillas, so I'm not sure where someone heard that from. It's a huge place and well decorated. Mariachi's and live music on weekends with audience participation makes this a standout place to try.
Not so much – I was excited after reading so many good reviews. Some bad reviews seem so fussy, I only take them with a grain of salt. I think the best thing about Mi Tierra is thier Margaritas. I ordered the Sope Dinner with steak. They boast homemade tortillas. I am so craving the homemade tortilla. But not last weeks tortillas. They tasted stale and I could barely cut through it. Everyday is a Fiesta – Mariachi's, singing, dancing, partying, great food, huge portions, involved fun! I called for Mothers Day and she said I was six weeks too late for reservations. Not quiet intimate romatic dinner place - Good fun for the whole family - all ages - enthusiastic people around you all night. ENJOY
