Food Not That Great and Doesn't Honor Valid Coupons We ordered two regular priced meals, two drinks, and two $.99 tacos. We had a coupon which gave a free meal with the purchase of another regular priced meal. After the dinner we submitted the coupon and credit card with the check and a few minutes later they returned saying that because we ordered the two side tacos, they were not going to honor the coupon. We used to love this restaurant, but had very slow service with a server who just didn't get it. They nickel and dimed everything. We decided to try again tonight after a couple of years, and our slow server from before is now the manager! Warning! Anyway, I have severe food allergies and have to bring my own food wherever I go. I asked to borrow a can opener and they said it is a violation of health codes to take my can in their kitchen, or bring me a can opener. OWNER RUDE – Terrible service. Had a coupon for 1/2 off and went. AFTER ordering, about 15 minutes later waitress said wouldn't honor coupon. Said it was a different location Mi Ranchito owned by another family member where coupon is offered. We asked why that had La Verne address on it, and wouldn't say anything. Talked to owner and she was RUDE about it. We used to frequent often, never go there again. Even reported to BBB, and owner doesn't even bother to respond. She could care less.
I disagree with warning. I found great food and service – I am not sure where the person that wrote the bad review ate - but I am new to the La Verne area, met them at a Chamber of Commerce event, tried them and liked them - alot. The quesadilla was cooked perfect and I asked for the beef on the side which was very tasty. I highly recommend you try them.
DON’T BE FOOLED! Although this place seems normal and clean on the surface, it is actually worse than a TJ taco stand. The service is selective. If you appear to be a person of status you will be treated nicely. If you are having a lazy day and looking for some takeout look elsewhere unless you like being treated like crap. warning – The Manager is super rude and unprofessional. She needs some lessons in etiquette and customer service. My friend found a fly in some soup this weekend. This place needs to be shut down so they can take time off to learn lessons in cleanliness and customer service.
Mi Ranchito If you love authentic Mexican food with great prices you need to try Mi Ranchito. Their salsa is amazing and their enchiladas are fabulous. Service is good and the restaurant is very clean.
