The provider entered the exam room wearing a winter coat and stood across the room from me. He asked a couple of questions, gave me a diagnosis and walked me out. I hope that there is nothing else going on with me that could have been determined with a look down my throat or even a small exam.
The front desk lady told me an hour before their lunch that they had lunch and I could wait until after their lunch at 2pm even though the lobby was empty and there were 3 doctors there. I saw 2 patients leave approximately 30-40min before this lunch break and was never called back. I was told there were 3 doctors there, yet two patients left, and no doctor was available. This is the worst urgent care I’ve been to. I took my 18 months old son complaining about high fever for 5 days, a very nasty cough with phlegm, no solids for 2 days. They told me my son has a virus and to give him Tylenol and Motrin. I have 3 kids, I know what my son had was more than a simply virus. The nurse practitioner told me that she couldn’t prescribe antibiotics until my son had been running fever for 10 DAYS!. I listened to my guts and went straight to the ER. I was just driving a friend there for their appointment.
We were able to get my son in quickly in the evening and the doctor was amazingly caring and helpful
