Yoyo @MG LIC is a Rockstar! I recently moved from LA to NYC and was looking for hairstylist that was affordable but most importantly that got my swag! YOYO knocked out of the park!
I don’t know why I thought it was a good idea to do this but I did it anyway - made an appointment here with Yoyo and the moment I walked in I felt like I stood out like a sore thumb immediately. I came here for a keratin treatment and haircut, but Yoyo and her helpers looked like they were afraid to even touch my hair. (I’m Latina and I have curly hair). Worst haircut I’ve ever had BY FAR. Came in with long, freshly permed hair (which I spent $200+ on) and they cut nearly EVERYTHING off. I showed multiple reference photos/videos, and clarified multiple times that I just wanted to take some of the bulk off and get layers. Worst part is they tried to charge me the full $80 and offered a $10 “discount” after destroying my hair. Stay far away from this place if you care about your hair/appearance.
Alan is always my favorite barber, I followed him from the Flushing location. He understands his clients and always are patient and friendly. I left this place with satisfaction every time. The place is huge and the vibe is calm. All the staff there are super professional and friendly. Highly recommended and will always go back!
