Located in the Museum District, MF Sushi marks the Houston outpost of this primarily Atalanta-based eatery. Japanese in essence, the restaurant is the venture of brothers Chris Kinjo and Alex Kinjo. MF Sushi is filled with scenes from a typical sushi bar, replete with expert chefs yielding their knives in unison, creating that perfect piece of sushi for you. While you are here, you must taste the omakase or chef-curated prix fixe menu to get a holistic experience of sushi and Japanese food.

From there, the omakase unfolded into a series of perfectly crafted bites: Kinmedai, Madai, Shima Aji, a trio of lean, medium-fatty, and super-fatty salmon, plus buttery toro, and ... read more
The place is not what it seems. Maybe if you get loaded and eat here it would be good but nothing here will blow your mind. It’s highly over priced for the value you get. Uchiko is on a whole different planet when it comes to dining experiences, so I was completely thrown off they had the same google review.
I think the food was good, but it’s honestly overpriced. Portions are not at all generous for how much it cost; pieces were so minuscule I wondered if I actually ate anything. Service was nice but not that attentive. We waited really long for raw fish. Overall mediocre experience and wouldn’t return for seconds.
