I’ve been here several times, and the food has always been amazing! That said, however, I have yet to have a good experience with service. I’m willing to look past MIA servers so long as the meal is good, but today we showed up to find a completely empty restaurant. Without a reservation, I thought, “Well, this is lucky! We should sit immediately”. It took 3 hostesses to find a spot for us (again, there was only one table occupied, and it remained that way until we left an hour later), but that wasn’t the problem. Very mediocre, very small portions
Not to be confused for the MF bar in Inman Park, which is also fire, but this place is the MF bomb. Came on Labor Day, and the place did not disappoint. Wine list, cocktails, Nigiri, sushi, what else can you ask for? Chef is on point definitely give it a try if you’re in the Avalon area.
The sushi dishes we had were okay but nothing that dazzled me. Bland flavors and dish presentations that were just meh. We were so unimpressed with the food and menu we cashed out and walked to another place.
