We wanted to replace our appliances. We called Albert Lee and Metropolitan. The Albert Lee salesman suggested that we look up what we wanted and call back and he would tell us if it was available. He didn't call back to check in. The Metropolitan salesman asked us what we wanted to do, then looked up options compatible with what we had in mind and also with each other, from different manufacturers, that met our needs. Great place! Friendly, non-pushy sales. I came in after doing a ton of research. I loved that they didn't talk down to me at all, as I've experienced with buying other appliances elsewhere. Was surprised they were familiar with the blog posts my old favorite appliance store in Boston does. Makes me feel they really know their industry. Delivery is scheduled shortly, and I love that they aren't contracting out for that but have their own team. I bought a new washer/dryer from Metropolitan Appliance on 10/14/2019. The purchase went fine but during the delivery and installation, my laminate flooring at the front door was scratched and several walls and molding downstairs had quite a bit of damage, plus several walls were left with black marks on them. Some of the black marks scrubbed off but a few areas had to be repainted. The wall corners down by the laundry room were chipped and a few walls were scraped. We worked with Jim at Metropolitan Appliance to buy all new appliances (fridge, range, downdraft, microwave, dishwasher and beverage center) for our newly remodeled kitchen. He and all of the staff were super helpful and responsive. We had to delay our install date from our original estimate, and Jim was extremely accommodating. Metropolitan has top notch showroom and delivery staff, and they provide unbelievably great service. I had an issue with a new stove the day before Thanksgiving (no fault of Metropolitan's) but we couldn't book a technician to fix the issue until after the holiday. Aaron sent me an email and invited us to his family dinner for Thanksgiving if we weren't able to make dinner at home. We didn't need to take him up on it, but his follow up and offer were way above and beyond normal customer service expectations. I'd give 10 star... read more
