Although the fees are clearly stated on the sign, they sometimes charge whatever they want and claim it’s a flat fee. I got charged $13.11 instead of $2.99. This happened twice and I’ve parked here 10-15 times. After reaching out, they said prices are subject to change for any reason (so can anyone just say that and charge whatever they want without your consent?) They eventually offered me a partial refund.
Misleading and false info. I will be filing a formal complaint with the BBB and the Chicago Chamber of Commerce. They charged a full stay when the sign clearly says $2 for 1-2.5 hours.
Beautiful Garage, Everything Perfect!!!
Terrible Parking Experience!! This garage is misleading and unfair. The sign says free parking for 0–1 hour and $2 after, but after 1.5 hours the gate let me out automatically without payment. A month later, they sent me a $56.50 notice ($2 fee + $54.50 penalty). Even after calling and explaining the situation, they only reduced it to $8.50 ($2.00 + $6.50 service fee). Such a frustrating service.
I wish I could give 0 stars. Do not park here! Posted rates on the sign are 0-1 hour free, 1 hour - 2 1/2 hours $2, etc., like other Oak Park public garages. However, unlike other Oak Park public garages they charge you $6.99 for any amount of time without validation. Their sign at the entrance should say in large font, “Parking charge $6.99 minimum without validation.” By not posting that, they’re trying to rip people off.
