DO NOT under any conditions use this lot or drive in it. You have been warned. I used this lot over 2 years ago, once, and had problems with the charges. Now, they have charged my card again. I haven't even been within miles of this lot. Park anywhere else. Pay double. Stay AWAY.
SCAM! The rates listed are not valid. The ONLY rate is $12 no matter if it’s one hour, 30 mins or less, or more than 5 hours. They charge $12 per day. Unfortunately, I talked to the customer service rep, and he mentioned that the charge of $12.99 for my 20 mins trip was valid as that is the only rate! It was $12 and $0.99 was the service fee.
Be careful of this parking lot. Their rates are not well posted at the entrance. You don't really know what what the rates are until you get in the lot and it's too late because you have to pay to get back out. $13 for 2.5 hours of parking is outrageous.
Metropolis is PREDATORY. Stay away. Colorado Springs should shut them down. The meter was broken, so they sent me a "parking notice" with a charge for $12 plus fees of $54.50, with the nerve to threaten collections. I tried to dispute the charges, but they just want easy money. A pox upon Metropolis parking, the slime.
This lot is a scam operation and the city should close them down. The lot has signage that suggests it is a city lot - it is not. There is no pricing posted at the entry or anywhere you can see from the street before you pull in. But the moment you pull in they charge you - even if you leave immediately.
