caviar wishes – i attended our office party last night. we had the best time. the food was outstanding. the scallops with caviar, the goat cheese wraps, sesame crusted salmon and rice and chocolate heaven for dessert. i'm a chocoholic...were so yummy. metronome was serving a holiday martini which had champagne. the music was excellent. i would highly recommend going there. the staff is really nice and helpful.
Just don't go! – WARNING - Just don't go - learn from my mistake. Went for a private party and had a horrible experience. Having worked as a bartender for 3 years, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Alas, all two bartenders continuously disappointed even the most understanding customer! great place... good eats – went for my birthday with a group of about 10. food and service were really good, although the waitress was a bit of a ditz. drinks were also good but the wine list and availability of the cheaper wine isn't. i must warn that the lame bar/lounge is not worth wasting time in.
Classy and nice – Bartender was very friendly, poured well. The Jazz was very pleasing. Classy without feeling stuffy. And I was surprised how low the bill was, given the typical prices of drinks in that area (and NY, in general).
10 – Very elegant club/restaurant with great music and dancing. The appetizers and dinner were delicious. With great service and ambience.
2nd Fridays are cool! – Went there and had a good time, once the DJ finally got the crowd warmed up and was consistent. this was my second time going there and I've had fun both times.
Skimpy drinks ruin a wonderful place – $8 and $10 martinis in tiny glasses containing virtually no alcohol. The manager said "I've never heard this complaint before, but anyway, next time you come, just ask for me at the door and I will make sure that if, indeed, there is such a policy here, it will not be applied to you." AS CLOSE as you can get to an admission of guilt. Did he reduce or tear-up the bill? No. My girlfriend says 'they'd probably go broke if they tore up all the bills of people who complain about this.' KIND OF DIFFERENT – WENT HERE LAST SATURDAY FOR A BIGSTAN PARTY. MUST SAY THE PLACE IS REALLY NICE, AND THE BOUNCERS AND LINE PEOPLE WERE DOWN TO EARTH. BEING THAT WE WERE ON BIGSTANS GUEST LIST WE DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS GETTING. MAYBE NEXT TIME I RETURN TO THIS CLUB I'LL MAKE IT A DAY AND HAVE DINNER AS WELL AS DRINKS FROM THE BAR AND LASTLY HIT THE DANCE FLOOR. I THINK THIS PLACE DESERVES AT LEAST ONE VISIT BY EVERYONE AND LET US KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.
In a pinch – It was last minute but they came through for me and my not very well dinner plans for my fiancees' 30th birthday. They were able to set us and 6 others with a great table in a pinch.The staff catered to our every need and made us feel like VIP's. My fiancee was impressed with my assumed planning. Thank you!
