RecommendedWe thoroughly enjoyed celebrating my husband’s birthday by eating out at the Metro Diner on San Jose Blvd. Our server, Frankie, was very attentive and helpful. She didn’t mind when one of our party changed her order at the last minute. Frankie graciously accommodated our needs. We will be back!
First time there. Very popular place. Good menu. Will go again for sure!
Best place to eat in Jacksonville, FL! The service and food are outstanding. I would recommend to everyone. The Chicken and Waffles and Huevos Rancheros are my favorites. Really, everything is good.
We keep going there thinking it’s going to be better than it really is, it’s only OK. Larry thinks the only reason to go there is for breakfast, and he may be right. But I am not a big out for breakfast kind of person. I had their chicken and it came out lukewarm. Larry had their fish and chips, and it was boring.

I came to this metro diner because it is close to my work, figured I’d get some breakfast before I went in. I was greeted immediately and sat immediately. My waitress was named Holly and she was GREAT. She made sure she got my order correct and brought it to me fast.
