Great experience will continue to do business with. I have been going to Metric Motors for years and will continue to do so. They are friendly and fair on price. Metric Motors always stands behind their work.

Nothing but trouble I had my check engine light come up so I took it to multiple places and they all told me the same answer. I took it to these guys and they gave me the same answer. They also gave me a time frame similar to other guys so i had them work on it. They not only did not work onit but wasted 3 days and still could not get it fixed. Good facade but poor mechanic These guys seem like nice guys but will not help your car out. I just been having problems after they worked on it. They might tell you that they warrenty their work, but do not trust them. They also will not keep you up-to-date on what's going on, and any little work you have them do takes forever. They talk like they know what's going on with your car, but don't believe it.

Do not trust them! I took my car to a garage and they used these guys to have work done on my engine. With in few month, my check engine light came on and seeing how it was under warrenty, I thought they would take care of it. It took 4 days and $74 to just figure out the problem. I thought warrenty would cover for the engine they worked on, but in fact, wanted to charge me another couple hundred dollars to fix it. Bad experience I called yesterday to get a quote on a tranny rebuild. They do mostly imports so they referred me to Brother's Transmissions, who answer the phone "hello?" Weird. I called Metric back. He said he'd do the labor of uninstall/install and send it to Brothers for the rebuild all for $1300. other quotes were closer to 2k. I called Chad today with a couple questions, wondering how they're doing it that low. All the sudden he's like I said 1300? No, 1300 is for the rebuild. Plus 450 labor. Absolutely Recommend! Great shop. I couldn't be happier that I found Metric Motors moving in from out of state looking for a mechanic. The original engine on our 1984 Vanagon Camper went out after 119K miles and we wanted to upgrade it to a Subaru engine. Originally I spoke to another mechanic in a small town in Utah who had done a conversion before and was going to have him update our van but he was stalling due to the complexity of the build. Disapointed by quality I am a tech at a dealership and am doing an engine swap for a friend at my home. I was told I could buy an Acura TL engine from japan that had 30000 or so miles on it from Metric Motors. I was disapointed with the engine that I got from Metric Motors. First off they said that it had 30000 miles on it and there is no way it did all the gaskets on the engine were brittle and broken and there were a hundred other things that tell me that it is not a low milage engine. Good People From an out of state opinion trying to find a good mechanic I was impressed by there friendly staff and honesty. I truely felt in good hands. I would recommend them to any one looking for foreign engine work.
