I had to go three times and still didn’t get through the entire process. So annoying!!!It takes a few hours but at the end after your blood test, heart beat bellow 100 bpm after they check that some other level to do with iron is sufficient, you then have to speak with a clinician to sign releases, check your balance etc then you finalllly get to give the blood and if your veins are too small like mine were, waste of time!!!
My friend and I showed up at 11:10 for our 11:15 appointments and stood there for several minutes before someone came to the desk to check us in. The receptionist came in the front door and walked up to the desk and the person who was checking us in told her, “you’re late,” and she responded, “you can say something when you’re the one signing my check.” It was 11:21 I think she’s allowed to notice you’re 20 minutes late to your job and it’s affecting multiple people. The entrance is on the 41st street. (Google map pin shows the entrance is on 42nd street). I had a really smooth experience donating blood here. Everyone was kind, patient, friendly, and professional—it honestly felt so easy and relaxed. The blood draw was super smooth, and the phlebotomist was incredibly skillful, which made my first-time experience so positive! Such a peaceful and well-organized place. And as a first-timer, I even got a super cute bow tie on my bandage—such a thoughtful touch. So happy! Highly recommend!
Dont forget to donate your blood as often as you can, you might save a life you never know.
