My mother and I drove from Laredo to this hospital to check on my sister in the Behavioral Health Emergency Room. We were already very worried and unfamiliar with the hospital layout. As visitors from Laredo, we had no idea where we were supposed to go in such a large hospital. A very helpful nurse kindly directed us to the rooms in the back. The therapist did not allow me to elaborate before trying to confine me in an inpatient program that I wouldn’t be able to leave. What a terrible experience.
My brother was there for three weeks and the staff kept on changing so there was no consistent care when asked to find out about the medication's that helped him. They could not locate that even though it was their own branch Methodist downtown when I tried to give them the information to get that for him, they drop the ball and even though he is not fully well, they want me to pick him up and take him because as far as they concerned, they have done a baseline which leaves him talking and laughing with himself and they see ... read more
My son put himself in there. He didn't receive the help he needed. And when they found out that he was having trouble with his insurance, they sent him away, with a bus pass. I called them several times about this, and just would get their voice message, and they would never return my call. They are just interested in getting money and not helping.
