Having been founded in one of the busiest parts of the country, our full-service hospital has grown significantly in the last 100 years. Where do I start on Sat Feb 20, 2021 I went to the ER at Arcadia Methodist Hospital because chest pain around 5pm. Come to find out I had pneumonia, and Covid. The sent me home with Antibiotics like I have a ear infection. On Mon Feb 21, 2021 I was back at the ER at Arcadia Methodist Hospital at 10am. The pneumonia moved spread it was getting worst. The worst hospital experience ever! Take my advice go to Huntington hospital 4 out of 5 stars in Medicare.gov. Methodist of Southern California is a 2 out of 5 stars, honestly don’t know how they got 2 stars. https://www.medicare.gov/care-comp…/details/hospital/050238… Worse communication and care! They almost killed my mom, a 2 day visit, turned to 6 weeks. If you love your family go somewhere else
My Mother In law nearly died there and then they discharged her too early and ended up back there 12 hours after discharge. They didn’t get the meds right during that discharge and now they normally don’t update us. They say they will daily update is, we went weeks without them calling us, we had to contact them every single day.
Worst experience last night. They automatically assume you have covid, even without any testing. My daughter was not feeling well, so I drove her there hoping for help. Instead, we were left outside in a very uncomfortable chair over 2 hours. First they lectured her. The guy was a jerk, very unsympathetic. After 2 hours--blood work, chest x-ray, a swab test, Motrin and Tylenol--they sent us home. I could have done that. They are probably going to charge my insurance company a lot of money... for what?
