I wanted to share my recent ER experiences in hopes it helps others. A few days ago, I went to the ER at Methodist Hospital of Celina with a swollen arm following an IV, along with shortness of breath and chest pain. My doctor was concerned about a possible blood clot. While the staff was kind and I was seen quickly, the only test performed was an ultrasound. The facility itself is good. However, the phone support experience could be more empathetic and patient, especially during late-night calls involving children. My wife called around midnight asking a simple question about whether pediatric urgent care services were available for our 3-year-old. Instead of a clear yes/no or guiding her to the emergency room, the staff member kept asking what she meant by “pediatric urgent care,” which made the conversation unnecessarily stressful. Grateful this hospital is a lot closer. Check-in/nurses/Drs are amazing for helping me.
Had to go to the Emergency Room yesterday. They got me in with no wait which is unheard of for a hospital ER. They had bloodwork and X-ray with results done in under an hour. I then needed an MRI which was scheduled and completed within an hour. The ER doctor Nathan Ham was excellent. All the staff and nurses were kind and patient. It’s the opposite of what we have previously experienced at Baylor McKinney and Presbi Plano ER. My family will definitely use this ER hospital when needed going forward.
