Just talked with him on the phone one time and already know he is good. One smart doctor.
After a mass in the mri, reported as transitional cell carcinoma, we saw two urologist in Florida. After a long research, we ended up traveling over 1000 miles with two kids to see Dr. Messer. We are so glad that we did. Despite the first urologist, who decided to do the surgery without doing a cystoscopy, Dr. Messer was very through with his diagnosis. He took his time to listen, ask questions, did a cystoscopy and explained all potential ways the surgery could go. He was great with explaining that even an 8 year old can un... read more
Our first meeting with Dr. Messer was a pleasant surprise after a "negative" start in getting in to see him. He is professional and very personable. He is efficient with his time without sacrificing the patient care of people whom he sees. I respect the knowledge, skills, and talents of each medical position; especially those of physicians; but THE PERSON has to earn my respect of that position and Dr. James Messer certainly did to the fullest. I am hopeful that he will do HIS BEST.
Excellent experience during a very difficult time. No candy coating. A sincere doctor looking out for his patients. He has an excellent team of professionals working with him.
Office Staff unprofessional, don't expect a return call , no matter how many xs you contact them . Does not happen .I had signs and symptoms of infection , temp , lethargic , green drainage with foul odor from post op incision site . Left information 3 days in a row with no return call. Had to contact primary Medical Oncologist for appropriate treatment . Dr Messer is kind , caring although day of surgery I did not see him before surgery , no one went out after surgery to give husband update
Dr. Messer is the man. He recruited the best team for kidney removal with the cancer sticking in the bottom of my heart 9 surgeons for kidney liver and heart . Removal of kidney adrenal gland galbladder and hernia operation suppose to take 12 hrs. Took 6hrs. Suppose to be in hospital for 2 weeks out 6 days. I really was not supposed to live. I can't see my oncologist without seeing him the same day. He explains what the oncologist can't when the oncologist won't show cat scan he wil
Dr. Messer looks a lot like your average defensive tackle. Scheduling is not so easy, communication neither frequent nor long, wait time may be tedious... But who cares about any of these things when a man can successfully orchestrate delicate, complex, 10-hour life-saving surgeries. You may not be able to have long conversations, but he manages to be kind and supportive in spite of his busy schedule. In our eyes, Dr. Messer is a Triple Crown Winner!
