The vegan tasting menu was absolutely delicious! It’s not on the menu & the chef decides what to serve, but it’s well worth the risk and price for an appetizer, main course and dessert. I highly recommend it. They can also adjust several dishes to be vegan. I was very impressed and will be back to try the roasted cabbage!
From Civic Plaza I looked south at Albuquerque Plaza, the taller pyramid-roof tower with the hotel twin beside it. I cut through the two-story promenade, lawyers and bank offices, and the elevator lobby was colder than the plaza. On Third Street you notice it's the tallest thing in the state, which still isn't a huge stack of floors.
I had the pear salad with the carne asada dumplings. Delicious!
TL;DR: Attentive service and a clean, upscale atmosphere, but the food lacked the flavor and refinement I expected for the price. We had been looking forward to trying Mesa Provisions for quite some time, so unfortunately, this meal was a disappointment. The service was attentive throughout the evening, and the atmosphere was nice, clean, and fitting for an upper-end restaurant in that part of town.
