I absolutely love this place! It's like anything else, you need your ID and insurance card to be seen for the first time. Once you become an established patient they will no longer require it. They are very busy and one thing I do say is that at times they struggle in answering the phone, you will be better off going in person or thru portal. I give 0 stars here. They require a mask. I could not put one on because of a rash on my face so they refused to see me. Worst place to go other than Pecos Hospital.

I have insurance & had my ID# and processing info. Didn’t have my physical card since my new ones were mailed to my home in another city while in Carlsbad. They wouldn’t see me. Told me I had to go somewhere else. Wow. Is that even legal lol?! Then the receptionist says rudely, “If you have Medicaid you can go to their office & have them print you your paperwork.” Umm, thanks? So I’m just SOL if I have other insurance? Worst experience I've ever had at any medical facility hands down. Went in really sick two and a half hours later they said they had sent my prescription to my pharmacy. I go and wait at the pharmacy and nothing I call them back they closed at noon. Had to wait til the next day and called all morning receptionist said they were busy that they would call it in wen they had a chance. It's after one and still no meds and sicker than a dog I think I'm going to need to go to a real hospital!! Avoid this hole in the wall dump at ... read more

Mesa Medical is a the best hands down; however, it is the staff that truly makes Mesa Medical what it is. Dr. Ouijaku, really cares about his patients and will go above and beyond to make sure that you get the treatment you deserve. He spends time with each patient, and in my opinion is very passionate about his work and the fact that he makes you feel like a family member not just another face.
