Mertz instalked my home heating/AC system 9- 10 years ago. I have used them every year for heating and AC inspections. This time the tech opened up the plenum to view the blower motor and saw debris in the return air plenum. He showed me pictures he had taken. His response was to have my ductwork cleaned for an extra charge. I asked if he took the extra 5 minutes to take a shopvac and remove the debris from the plenum and clean the blower motor fan vanes. I would give it 5 Stars for the guy that did the work, he was awesome. However for $635 I received no receipt, something is leaking in my furnace and he told me I need to replace the furnace and I don’t have $10,000 but for $635 I figured you would include a clean up at least but no, that didn’t even include a cleanup for the outside unit. That paid for two replacement parts but the fact they’re came right out and dude fixed the blower fast on one of hottest days I’m semi satisfied
