Merritt's Store and Grill was founded in 1929 as an Esso Station. Since then, we have evolved to be a destination for our World Famous BLT's. While the BLT's are what bring people in the door, we also have a wide selection of sandwiches on our menu. We take pride in making our own Chicken Salad, Egg Salad, Pimento Cheese, and many other items in house from the freshest ingredients. We also have a wide array of housemade sides and desserts that change seasonally and are enjoyed by all. Stop in and see us some time!

Totally Awesome! Known for their famous BLT and it was delicious! We also had the BLT with a burger patty , and this week special was the Ruben, the best, moist coconut cake ! Very busy but efficient, we were greeted immediately, provided a menu and ordered all within 5 minutes. Definitely would return again when visiting the area!
Everything done right from the BLT, to the sweet tea, to the banana pudding. No corners were cut on quality or taste. I heard great things about this place and was not disappointed! We also met the owners who were SO pleasant! We will be back!
Tried the double BLT, TGB, and bologna. They all tasted great!
Merritt's is not even close to what it was. The food is pretty much the same, but there's no love anymore. One used to go there, expect short order grill food, Coke in a glass bottle, maybe a pack of smokes and a descent conversation with a couple of old men or someone's grandma. Now it's order, pay and leave, "Next" order, pay and leave, etc.
