I used to love Merriman's in Waimea. Unfortunately the quality of food has slipped significantly. The bread that was served before the meal was dense and all around bad. We ordered 4 or 5 dishes for the table. The pairings were confusing and did not go well together. The potatoes were over cooked and dried out in the middle. The ravioli was mostly dough and served in a watery citrus sauce. The service felt rushed and disconnected. I'm really sad they got rid of the Mai Tai Mondays.
Roxy, our server, was incredible.
We love Merriman’s. We came with our family. Our 12 year old has celiac disease. Our server Jim S was excellent. He was attentive to my daughter. Assuaged her fears, and made our meal very pleasant. She ate steak and whipped mashed potatoes and loved them both. We were too full for dessert, but they had celiac safe options for that also. We’ll be back!
Such a lovely experience at Merriman’s with great food and warm service. The Mai Tais are delicious but so is all their produce, especially the tomatoes. Especially loved the Swordfish main they had for the day - super delectable. Shoutout to Eric the host who was wonderful to chat with!
