My experience with the group is not with one of my pets being a patient. One of my dogs is on special food and the company has it on back order. iPhones South Bellmore veterinary and was told they have the food but will only give it to their clients even though I told him I had a prescription and my dog was ill. I was in a panic because my dog was getting sick from the substitute food that I had been giving him. I called Merrick veterinary group and they were more than willing to help me. I am great full for their help
I brought my pup in to get an echo cardiogram with Dr. May because another vet told us that he had an enlarged heart. Dr. May read the full panel blood work, examined him and saw the X-rays and said there is nothing wrong with him. He told us he can do the echo but there is no need....your dog has a healthy heart. And, for "shits and giggles" he did a quick echo just to show us he was right at no cost. Dr. Villa is a very good veterinarian. She takes good care of my dog. She is knowledgeable and compassionate. Also a technician name Dory takes good care of him. Very nice, she always asks how is doing. The only place I will take my dog to.
I have been taking my cats here for many years. Dr. May and his staff are simply the best there is. The care, experience knowledge and overall professionalism is unequaled.
