We took our family here for a night out as part of Christmas. Our table was close to the door and it was chilly, I asked very nicely if we could turn up the heat because we were getting cold, or even keep the doors closed. the owners wife was extremely rude when she said oh well. We were not happy at all with the way she acted when we are paying customers and want to be warm while we eat. Needless to say this is our families last trip there for dinner. Our food was average, steak was over cooked and needed A1

We've gone to Mermaids occasionally for years. We were just in the mood for a steak though instead of seafood. My filet was melt in your mouth tender and very lean. However, the grill chef was light on the cook so med. rare was rare. That works for seafood. The bed of spinach was delicious. My husband's ribeye steak was not very thick and also rare, fatty, and a little tough which surprised us. Thus, we'll stay with seafood next time. James was amazing and recommended a great wine.
