Wow, just wow. Every month or so we all trade off ordering Mermaid Kitchen bagels for pickup for our office and the sheer joy when it is bagel day! You know when you taste a generic bread and think," yup, bread." versus the times you take a bit and exclaim, "holy heck, that has so much flavor!" The latter is the Mermaid Kitchen experience. Whatever they're doing to prove their dough results in such a great chew and crumb and flavor. Don't even get me started on the lebneh spread or the Tshili. Freaking fantastic!
Genuine people, chill and upbeat local cafe atmosphere, intentionally crafted dishes.
We like the local food and coffee offered at the cafe. They have a chalkboard wall kids can draw on while they wait for food. Portions 's are nice sizes. Not too big but not tiny. Prices were moderate. Coffee is always great there (I get lattes).
