Unfortunately today was not a good experience at this location in DeKalb. I was told this was a 1-hour job but it ended up turning into a 3-hour job. I've been very happy with the service I have received at this location in the past but today was pretty frustrating and awful.
Went in to get a converter for my car, they told me I didn’t need that and quoted me originally 3600 but because I didn’t need the converter they said I needed new tires, a spark leak, and fixed the flex tube connecting to my converter for only 1600 instead, my car runs great and the staff was very friendly and very helpful.
So I came to Illinois from Tennessee and on my way here I started having cooling system problems. I'm disabled vet I was not able to rectify the issue myself. My family here has used Merlin so I gave them a call to make sure they worked on lifted jeeps and they did. So after a diagnosis and quote they repaired all my issues for a reasonable price. Got the parts in next day and it was repaired later that afternoon. Great staff and technicians. Highly recommended
Easily my favorite auto shop. Couldn’t be happier with them.
