Pool was perfect temp. Service and food all great.
This is often a concert venue on weekends - the concerts end by 10 pm and most first rooms are pretty well shielded from the noise. The restaurant, Olive & Hay, is top notch with beautiful plating and innovative flavor combinations. Lobby areas are spacious. The adjoining vineyard offers a pleasant short walk. Our stay at The Meritage Resort and Spa was a highly inconsistent experience. On the surface, the overall experience is good: the facilities are truly beautiful, the property is clean, the pool area is lovely, and the location is great (with convenient options for both valet and self-parking). The resort clearly strives to offer an upscale, luxury experience, but unfortunately, the actual service lags significantly behind that ambition. LOVED IT! THE BEST place to stay if/when in Napa for a show at the Blue Note 🤘We enjoyed a wonderful 2 nights, planned around seeing Primus Gold on July 4th. Only live about an hour away, but didn’t want to be driving home (after a day of celebrating ); and I’m SO glad we decided to make it a “staycation!” I’ve stayed many places in Napa Valley, but this was my first time here. First impressions: uninspiring location, tired, dated. Waited in line for 30 minutes at check-in. When commenting on lengthy wait, staff were surly. After we eventually got to the room, it confirmed the tired/dated initial impression. Also discovered that the walls are paper-thin, and you can hear your neighbors through the walls and every footfall from the ceiling above.
