Very bad room service. No dental kits in the room. No one responds to phone calls from room.
Mother’s Day brunch was over priced. Paid $275. $105 each x2, then they add in gratuity, cc fee, and tax. Ugg. The deserts were mediocre at best. Just a bunch of cookies. Small samples size at best, carrot cake ran out at 2pm. No chocolate cake, no cheesecake, eh. The food should’ve said wow and didn’t. The only thing that stood out was the saxophonist. He was fabulous. Did it once, no need to repeat.
Checkin - we were there at 4pm for checkin, they said the room is in inspection and will be given soon. All the people who came after us for 1.5 hours were given a room. Peak time. Only we were left waiting. We waited for 1.5 hours and just stepped out. We got a message at 5:45pm that our room was ready, came back and checked into the room. Stayed at The Meritage Resort and Spa for one night with another family, and our group of 7 had a mixed experience overall. The property itself is large, beautiful, and very well maintained. The rooms were spacious, clean, and nicely decorated, which definitely gave a luxury resort feel. The grounds and overall atmosphere are probably the strongest part of the stay.
