The repair side of Merit Restoration is ridiculously unprofessional! Do not accept their assignment if insurance provides their service! They discriminate and do not like to complete their job! Would NEVER recommend their business! Their company’s employees pretty much said “F me, and hell with my needs”.

"Customers Beware!" USAA provided a contractor to us in Lynchburg, VA, "Merit." Currently, in Lynchburg, VA this organization has NO organic employees to perform contracted services, all "subcontractors." Difficult to reach and maintain contact, "salesman" does not show up on THEIR chosen timeframe, leaving customers to question if they are legit, NO license is provided, even my chosen subcontractors, "Beware!" I agree with Amanda. Nathan Cook came to the site of a fire and agreed to do the demolition and restoration. Both of these required permits. Nathan led us to believe he had a permit runner who was handling getting the permits. We submitted various information that he said he needed. When I contacted the permit office, I found that he had never submitted any of the necessary information to them. If I could leave zero stars I would. Lee is the worst communicator to be in this type of business and talking to clients. Neither he or his workers ever show up on time and do not care how late they work in your home or ask if it's okay to work til 6:30-7pm. USAA recommended and I am highly disappointed. I will have to higher a contractor on my own dime instead to REDO the work since the flooring and paint information is such a secret. Terrible business. I wouldn't even recommend to my worst enemy!

We contracted Nathan Tobler Jan 2018 to fix a major leak due to bad flashing prior to putting our house on the market. After several months of dealing with him he completed the work. With the very first rain we had a worse leak than before which caused us to lose a contract on the house. We tried to work with him calling him numerous times without response upon which we contacted another contractor. The new contractor opened up the wall and we saw that NO REPAIR was done.
