I was very disappointed in ENMMC. My granddaughter was admitted in emergency with a kidney stone the first part of August. Because ENMMC did not have an urologist on staff they flew her to Las Cruces instead of transferring her to the local Lovelace hospital who had an urologist on staff. Not only did it cost her a tremendous amount of money to be flown out she had a horrendous experience in Las Cruces. I had a 2 day stay at this hospital. The nurses and assistants were all friendly and helpful enough and the doctors I saw were very good. The only thing lacking was I stayed hungry most of the time I was there. the first full day there I couldn't eat until my procedure was done - quite understandable and i did have dinner afterwards....somewhere around 6pm. My mother went there with chest pain and sat in the ER for 8 hours. She witnessed a women walk out with an IV still in her arm as she was sitting in the waiting room waiting for someone to take out the IV. ER was so full that people were standing and nurses were "too busy" ordering their food as it showed up via Door Dash.
Would give 0 if I could. Brought my son (13) here twice and twice they failed to help him, did not take his vitals either time. Had a dirt bike accident going 50+ mph. They cleaned wounds- he has significant road rash, hit head and could not move wrist. They cleaned 2 wounds and sent him on his way, said they didn't want to waste resources- but in end costed the insurance more money because I had to take him elsewhere and he has a BROKEN WRIST and sprained other wrist!!! Will NEVER go here again!
Hats off the ER staff, and the rest of the team that took care of me while I was a patient at the hospital. When I was in the ER department, they took great care of me. They took the time to tell me in layman's terms what they were doing to me and what my treatment options were. I broke my shoulder and was sent there for therapy. At that point I was afraid to move my arm at all. Brandon did an awesome job of getting a terrified old lady back to normal movement again! I highly recommend your facility! Brenda Dickson
If I could give zero stars, I would. What happened to me at this hospital was not just unethical — it was dehumanizing. I entered the ER after experiencing a traumatic event and was met with indifference, dismissal, and ultimately, retaliation. I reported sexual assault. Instead of being offered care, I was ignored — and then involuntarily committed under a Baker Act issued by a cardiologist. Not a psychiatrist. 1. Staff at front desk is rude. I have been there 4 times this winter and each time the front desk person was rude and uncaring. 2. Their website says they close at 7:00pm. Dont believe it. I called this evening at 6:14pm to make sure I would be able to get in before heading over. I asked "Can I get in to see a doctor this evening" Reply from front desk attendant "No not tonight."
