Front desk has been awesome. Barbara McGee Strauss is my psychiatrist, and my very first psychiatrist at that. I was expecting clinical, reserved, cold evaluation. And while she was careful with her words and measured in her affirmations, she was warm and understanding all the way through. I never felt judged or any kind of “3rd degree” as i have read about from others’ experiences with other psychiatry offices.
I'm really grateful to the team here. I've been struggling with ADHD my whole life, but was cautious of starting meds, because I was worried I didn't actually have ADHD, and would get addicted or would be taking medication I didn't need. I really appreciated MAP's comprehensive ADHD testing, which meant that when I did receive that diagnosis, I wasn't worried that it was a false positive.
