Apparently the chef was having a bad night. The salad was fine but took 15 minutes to prepare with only one table in the place occupied. And the lo Scalda Nduja was uneatable and had be be sent back. And there was a guy in a flannel shirt and dirty jeans floating around so I think it was the owner and the waitress and hostess were eating near the register. We paid and left.
This was easily our favorite restaurant/bar in all of Oceanside. It's a shame we only discovered it on our last night of a 2-week stay! Service is a 10/10. We were warmly greeted by the owner, and the bartender was that great mix of helpful with wine recs, conversational here and there, and efficient. We made a dumb mistake and ate before we came here - the food coming out of that kitchen looked incredible, serious fomo. The service was really great. Everything was wonderful, my only recommendation would be with the charcuterie board it would be fantastic to have some bread included or crackers.
Absolutely beautiful, every single detail thoughtfully curated, our server was patient, welcoming and made the evening perfect. A memorable spot, perfect for an intimate date night. Their bottles of wine are outstandingAdditionally they have a happy hour which offers tasty small plates and wine by the glass.
