Hospital is Continuiusly in unsafe nurse ratios. If you want to live pick a Hospital with staff and not corporate profit.

My step dad was in the ICU and went comfort. There were 2 nurse who went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable. They came in every 1/2 hour to medicate him. I am beyond grateful for their care and compassion. Before this I wasn't very pleased with this hospital. I wish I could remember their names but they worked 7p to 7a on the 19th into the 20th and 7a-7p on the 20th. He passed away peacefully around 1230 after the social worker made it possible to have a Spanish translator so his sister in Mexico could say good... read more

I recently had to go in to the hospital here for procedures for GI issues and let me just say , take the time to go to U of I in Iowa city ,it was concerning, this last time they didnt give me enough anesthesia and i could feel the tube going down my throat,i couldnt move but i was gagging ( that should have given them an indication to stop) the nurse later said ,after i told her what happened, " you should not have felt that ".
