Absolute dumpster fire of an emergency room!!! Sat for 8 hours waiting for simple lab results that could have been relayed in minutes and watched as people with far less issues of severity came in to sit and eat their meals they brought with them while being termed "frequent fliers" by the staff and still getting pulled in before me. This place sucks. Go out west. Taken by ambulance and sat there 21 hours waiting to be seen by doctor. couldnt leave due to risk of insurance denial. Saw so many people left without being seen that had been there for hours. So sad. Saw more food deliveries then people helped. Rude desk people who don't know to handle people when they are at their lowest "not my problem" is an unacceptable reaponse to people's questions. If you have any control over the situation, DO NOT GO TO THIS EMERGENCY ROOM, I repeat, DO NOT GO TO THIS EMERGENCY ROOM, They are incompetent, inept, and inefficient plus the care is seriously substandard. I realize that a Saturday night is a very busy time for an emergency room, but in that situation, you bring in extra staff, and you don't park very sick people with IV bags in wheelchairs in the waiting room and not check on them for an hour. My brother was in a serious car accident got shipped to Mercy emergency room at 10 AM was here didn’t get his CAT scan till about two and bloodwork and fluids. They’ve been saying since 10 AM. They were gonna transfer him to ICU. It is now 6 o’clock and he still has not been transferred. He had the worst rudest nurse in the world. She was pregnant and lazy. We’ve heard people screaming calling him for her help and she kept saying. Hold on I’ll be there when I can never once went and help other patients.
