Upon discharge from Mercy I was given a glossy brochure inviting me to join their rehab program. My expectation was that I would be evaluated for my physical condition and a baseline established so that my progress could be reviewed. Instead I was given a heart monitor and sat on a bicycle exercise machine for 30 minutes with no monitoring or goal set.
