I love the staff in Roscoe- been coming here for 8 years now.
I would be ashamed to work for a medical group that stopped excepting patients on Medicaid. Health care should be able to provide for people in all walks of life.because of a selfish money making CEO.. Absolutely ridiculous.
Please be aware they will refuse care to you if you aren’t in network. I didn’t realize that was possible at an urgent care. Drove at 9pm at night with fever and sore throat. Turned away despite offering to cash pay.
The staff is very nice but you will wait forever... I was there 4.5 hours from start to finish.. I will definitely consider other clinics before returning. The wait time here is ridiculous.
It’s really disturbing that Mercy has decided to cut off all people who are under Medicaid. My son was delivered at Rockford Memorial Hospital and then went on to be a patient of Dr. Phelan in Rockford until they cut off all Medicaid patients. And I had to switch over to Swedish American. All because Mercy bought them out. It is very disturbing that a hospital that is supposed to treat and serve the community has cut off a large community.
