Professional and friendly staff and doctors
Mercy is the worst place to deal with. They constantly try saying they are not in network, when in fact they are. When you call to fix it the people are not very helpful and very stand-offish. I have lost count of the number of appointments that they have canceled due to bogus reasons without so much as a phone call. I am completely disappointed by Mercy Health and their actions.
After specifically telling the medical staff that I would not authorize tests unless they were covered by insurance, they went ahead and sent labs off and I got a bill. (I was simply there for a routine annual check-up I am in pretty good health and other than a sore shoulder after a fall, no complaints.) Several of the tests I was questioning (perhaps they had someone else's chart, because they really didn't pertain to me.) I asked for a written explanation of why the tests were ordered.
