Was at the Urgent Care North for my husband but was sent here because imaging was down. They said we didn't need imaging, which was fine. They did what they needed to do and we got to go on our way. I'm a former housekeeper for Mercy Hospital and the cleanliness of this place is disgusting. I can imagine the room we were in hasn't been cleaned in at least 2 weeks and there was stuff on the floor from previous patients. Absolutely disgusting. I arrived at the downtown Mercy ER at 1am. I was the only one in the waiting room when I arrived. I explained when checking in that I had just had a procedure done in the hospital a few days earlier and had the catheter removed the day before. I told them that I couldn't urinate and was in so much pain that I couldn't even stand up straight. Always satisfied with wait times, ive been here 5 times and they always get me right in. The staff is amazing and they truly care about their patients!!
It is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and efficient.
I went to the Mercy er in Hiawatha at the recommendation of the physician who cared for me at Mercy Care North. I had a heart related episode that the physician wanted a blood work upwork up for an accurate diagnosis and/or to rule out a cardiac issue. I gave them a 2 star only because they did conduct the test the dr. asked for, however they repeated tests that the urgent care dr. had already completed on me in the office, ekg, etc. I had recently lost my daughter who I had accompanied to the er several times before her dea... read more
