There are a lot of services at this location. Parking is difficult. You need to park in the west side or the hospital’s big lot but neither are convenient. The elevators are in the center of the building and today 2 of the 4 elevators were broken causing a long line on the ground floor waiting for the elevator.
Registration, nursing, facility, physician, responsiveness were all good. I felt the discharge instructions could have been more detailed. I did not understand the nurse anesthetist not cleaning the IV line before accessing it. But, overall it was satisfactory.
The Peggy at the speech center was great, but the main floor was dirty. The women's bathroom had holes in the wall, the floor wasn't swept no Toilet paper

I have always been treated professionally at this hospital. Sometimes it takes longer than I liked. But I have been in other hospitals in other states that took longer than Springfield. I have traveled all over the country and was able to get first hand experience. People don’t seem to realize that ERs aren’t Dr offices but setup up for emergency. They don’t have a way to really make personal appointments. An ambulance or their helicopters that can be bringing in from other hospitals or accidents that are life threatening. N... read more
