This lab is consistently the worst I’ve been to and I am a med tech. I avoid it at all costs. First it’s crazy to have to make appointments for a walk in outpatient lab service. But the staff is so inefficient it makes me understand why they had to move to appointments. Not to mention everyone I’ve encountered there had been so rude. SCAM ALERT! DO NOT PAY YOUR BILL! I received 2 bills regarding routine blood work (e.g., lipid panel, CBC, etc.) obtained during an annual wellness exam at Common Spirit Horse Gulch. The bills were from Ryan Coates at Mountain States Pathology, the group that apparently provides pathology services for Mercy/Common Spirit in Durango. Scheduled an appointment, verified information and told Elise I was coming from Pagosa and with my husbands schedule we have very limited days we can make it to Durango for this appt. Showed up half an hour early for our 10am appointment, and in the parking lot of the hospital i get a call at 9:27 that they don’t have techs for the appointment we scheduled and we’ll have to reschedule for Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.
